What I do

I am a lifelong athlete, I enjoy being outside adventuring on the coast and the Casco Bay Islands. I strive to instill a love of learning and a healthy lifestyle to help ensure a bright future for my students and school community. When not teaching I can be found reading, hiking, spinning, skiing, cooking, and exploring throughout Maine with my fiancé.

I began working at Loranger Memorial School in the Fall of 2016. I believe that every child is capable of learning, succeeding, and mastery through practice. I am passionate about creating the conditions for practice through fostering a welcoming and focused classroom learning environment. I enjoy making connections and building meaningful, trusting relationships with my students and their families.

Before joining Loranger Memorial School I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Maine in Elementary Education. I was a member of the University of Maine Women’s Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track teams. I began my educational career as an Educational Technician working with students K-12 before transitioning into to a classroom teacher. I taught for two years in Orono in Kindergarten and Third Grade. While in Orono, I was part of the coaching staff for the high school’s cross country and track State Champion teams.
