Trevor Lavenbein

What I do

Trevor maintains a busy schedule of performances around Northern New England playing his trumpet and singing. Not only busying making music, he also teaches at several music camps including Youth Day Band Camp and Southern Maine Junior Music Academy at USM. Trevor hopes that his work in the music profession, his passion and enjoyment of music, can be seen by his students and help inspire them to do what they are passionate about most.

Trevor Lavenbein started teaching at LMS as a long-term music substitute in the winter of 2010. Finding a love of teaching students from this experience, Trevor continued on at LMS as an Ed Tech for several years before transitioning to Music Director. Having connections to the musical community in Southern Maine, Trevor is committed to providing students experiences that enrich the student and the community through performance.

Prior to joining the staff at LMS, Trevor completed his undergraduate work in Music Performance at the University of Southern Maine and completed a Master’s in Music degree from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England. What makes Trevor’s experience at LMS close to home is that it is home. Trevor is a proud graduate of the Old Orchard Beach School system having participated in most, if not all, musical activities offered.
