What I do

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, which includes 3 adult sons, a future daughter in law, and 2 cats. I serve as a mentor for the South Portland High School Robotics Team, which my youngest son was a member of throughout high school. I also have a craft business and enjoy exploring my creative side. Over the last few years, I have developed a love for travel, and am always looking forward to the next adventure with my friends or family members!

I am proud to be the longest serving staff member in the entire district, having started my career at Loranger (then called Old Orchard Beach Junior High) way back in 1988! I graduated from South Portland High School and the University of New Hampshire, where I earned a degree in Zoology. I was hired as a science teacher, and I am teaching again science this year after having taught math for the last 10. I am super excited to be back in my original room to finish up my career, as I am retiring at the end of the 2026-27 school year.
