Jessie Hurteau

What I do

Jessie lives with her husband and her son and daughter in Gorham, Maine. She enjoys camping, canoeing, disc golfing, gardening and being outside. In the evenings she can be often be found reading, drawing or printmaking.

Jessie joined Loranger learning community seven years ago. She teaches visual arts to all students in grades 3-8. She works in a wide variety of media and enjoys sharing her love of creative problem solving with others. Jessie believes that all students are capable of success and encourages students to visually demonstrate their knowledge.

Jessie graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts in 2004 with a BFA in fine arts. She returned to school in 2009 when she completed the Post Baccalaureate program in Art Education at the Maine College of Art.
