What I do
I live in Gorham with my husband and two children. I enjoy camping, canoeing, disc golfing, gardening, swimming and being outside. In the evenings I can be often be found reading, drawing or printmaking. I love trying new creative approaches and using materials in unexpected ways.
I started teaching Visual Arts at Loranger Middle School in 2011. I am proud to teach all students in grades 3-8 and love to see how much students grow their skills during their middle school years. I work in a wide variety of media and enjoy sharing my love of creative problem solving with others. I believe that all students are capable of success. I encourage students to visually demonstrate their knowledge and to share this knowledge with their learning community.
I graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts in 2004 with a BFA in fine arts. I returned to school in 2009 when I completed the Post Baccalaureate program in Art Education at the Maine College of Art.
