What I do

I work hard to challenge students to think critically and creatively throughout the day, and pace them towards success. I welcome families and community members into our classroom to celebrate and share.

I began working at Loranger Memorial in Fall 2022 as a fourth grade teacher. Previously, I was as a fifth grade teacher at a public school in East Harlem, NYC.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Wagner College majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology and I received my Masters Degree in Literacy from Hunter College in NYC. I love everything that working in an urban setting taught me about teaching, our world, and myself; however moving to Maine feels so right for myself and my family.

I believe that education should be an equitable experience for learners, and providing a space for young people to have authentic opportunities to recognize their strengths and celebrate their identities is very important to me.
