What I do

I live Kennebunk, with my husband, two children, ages 12 and 18 and our puppy.  My son is in seventh grade and my daughter is a senior at Kennebunk High. My oldest son is 22 and lives in Portland.  Most of my free time is being involved with my children’s activities. I own a home in the village of West Kennebunk and have been active as a Kennebunk Parks and Recreation Commissioner for the past ten years.

I am new to Loranger Memorial School, but I am not new to education.  I started teaching middle school in 1988 after graduating with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maine in Orono.  I taught for many years while obtaining my Masters in Counseling from the University of Southern Maine in Gorham in 1998. I was a stay at home mom for many years after teaching and then I began working in the Auburn School District as a School Counselor before arriving at LMS this August.

Before coming to LMS, I was a middle school teacher for eight years in Maine.  While doing this, I obtained a MS in Counseling. I then raised three of my children and was a stay-at-home mom.  When I went back to the workforce, I became an Emergency Dispatcher for the Kennebunk Police Department. I then went back to my education roots and was a School Counselor in Auburn, Maine for four years and am now very happy to be close to home in Old Orchard Beach.
